Mix and (Game, Set..) Match

I get a great source of pride out of utilizing the clothing in my closet in unexpected ways.  When I shop, I purchase what I truly love and know that I will use often. Take these bespoke custom made Dolce inspired tuxedo pants for instance. I purchased them while in China last year with a matching blazer which I wear together often. Today, I wanted a fun and casual look, so I paired the trousers with a white Lacoste men’s tailored button down dress shirt layered underneath an adidas Originals Tubular Knit Graphic T-Shirt and my white Hermes Rosa Sneakers.

My leather belt is made by Federico Polidori an old world leather craftsman in Rome. I was determined to find this craftsman’s shop tucked away on one of those small streets you read about and see in the movies, and there he was sewing! I asked him to make me two leather collars (similar to the silver LV one here); he drew them for me on an old school sketch pad right before my eyes, it was beautiful and touching- I am still holding my breath to receive them. We also picked up some other leather treasures including some beautiful bracelets that look like small belts with intricate screws to secure them on.

I kept the rest of my accessories simple with some acrylic bangles and my Daisy ring by Tiffany Co. Schlumberger.  I’m also wearing a Tiffany Metro 3 hand 34 mm stainless steel watch with alligator strap. The alligator strap is a beautiful shade of cerulean blue and the face is encrusted with round-cut and baguette-cut diamond indexes.

How do you mix up your favorite closet essentials?

XO Kathleen
