Accessories for the win!

Hey there!

Another quick visit to NYC had me packing for extremes. Extreme heat outdoors - and extreme cold indoors. Since this visit was for both business and pleasure, I wanted to have one fun outfit for exploring, shopping and the Yankees home game!

My white stretch-denim AG Adriano Goldschmied "Jodi" floral-embroidered cropped jeans were a terrific pick. The slight flare at the bottom is so flattering and looked perfect with my OG favorite red Jimmy Choo Anouk Glossy Snakeskin Pumps. The Le SuperbeEye C U” Embroidered Double-Breasted Trench Coat perfectly plays off the red embellishment on the jeans and Jimmy Choo’s plus the embroidery on the back is so colorful and eye catching (no pun intended). Also, I love the little tailoring details such as shoulder epaulettes, belting and perfect length that I favor over trousers.

For bags, once again I went in two directions. For daytime when it was raining, I carried my Leghila waterproof scuba material bag in neon lime green with cobalt blue interior; so easy to clip on and off bag charms on this fabric. Bag charms include an Anya Hindmarch Egg charm (that I picked up when I was in England last summer), an orange miniature golf glove (that I couldn’t resist at a recent visit to Top Golf) and a tennis ball from the US open (I can’t seem to resist buying one every year). I also attached a green Hermes four leaf clover key chain paired with an Hermes repurposed tassel bookmark and why not also throw on there a little duck for more good luck…..and finally my new FAVORITE Jord Olive & Aegean Blue Cassia watch.

Jord Watches are cool mix of natural, and largely re-claimed materials, combined with quality movements and components. I fell in love with the vintage vibe of the wood wristband fused with the large feminine blue face and had a blast styling it both on my wrist AND as a charm on my bag all weekend.

When the rain stopped, I used the white and blue crocodile Kate Clutch that I featured last week from Lineij. With this look, I placed the Cassia Watch on my wrist combined with a smorgasbord of bracelets including an Hermes Manufacture de Boucleries Ecailles bangle (similar here), a gold and leather strap by Uno de 50, an orange and leather bracelet sold by Anne Fontaine’s foundation and wrapped it all up with a citrus wrap belt that I used as a bracelet for ultimate layering to pull all of the “seeing eye” colors together.

Hope you’re enjoying the ‘dog days’ of Summer as much as I am and …as always #onlyjoy

xo Kathleen
