As I mentioned in this week’s Reflection, I had the privilege of attending the New York City Ballet’s Fall Gala last week with my friend Allyson Tang.

I was thrilled to have an occasion to wear my exquisite double breasted sequin Balmain gown with gold button detailing again - though I styled it very differently than when featured here earlier this year.

My Fendi black mesh high heeled Colibri slingback shoes with amber-colored sequin embroidery and gold-enameled heel create a vastly different look than the Prada Monolith leather boots with pouch that I wore in my prior post, and I must confess that the Fendi heels are the most comfortable shoe I own!

For a bit of drama, I draped a Norma Kamali Sleeping Bag Blanket Coat over my shoulders and accessorized with a Schiaparelli gilded brass chain and Mouth Necklace which was “representative of the collaborative relationship between Elsa Schiaparelli and Salvador Dalí.”, along with a pair of Schiaparelli black and gold earrings. I added an Alexis Bittar Crystal Pave Serpent Onyx ring and black cuff bracelet, and am carrying the Jill Sander Sphere Pouch which I also carried to the USTA Foundation event featured here.

I’m looking forward to future occasions where I can find even more interesting ways to accessorize this dress and each of the treasures I have on here.
