Vintage Treasures...
I love discovering (and collecting) little vintage treasures in my travels, and take even more delight when I can wear them! The black leather shift dress by Vince seemed like a great backdrop to feature some of my absolute favorites. Around my neck is a Silver-tone Chanel crystal heart pendant featuring CC logo, crystal and faux pearl accents, black grosgrain cord and lobster clasp closure from the Fall 2004 Collection. I adore that it's both chunky yet elegant and it sparkles no matter what I wear it with. On my head, I've tied and wrapped a vintage "Luna Park" silk scarf by Joachim Metz for Hermes in 1993. The gorgeous shades or reds greens, and golds give a fantastic lift of color to all the dark tones in my dress and cold shoulder sweater. I am carrying a red and black velvet stripe bag with multiple strands of cascading faux pearls and a black leather strap - one of the many "flea market finds" that I just couldn't say "no" to.
You may recall my black suede fringed trimmed over-the-knee boots from Alexa Wagner in my Valentino Et. Al post earlier this year. I think they are the ideal combination of fabulous and fun and are perfect for today. Lastly, I have on my ever-elegant and beloved Tiffany Graduated link earrings in Silver.
You can find your own "treasures" on reputable websites like The Real Real or 1st Dibbs but do not underestimate the fun and excitement of scouring through flea markets or vintage stores when searching for your own collection.
See you soon,
