Moncler Morning
Like all of you, there are days where I just want - and need - to be cozy and casual. This is especially true while traveling which can make anyone feel run down, stressed, even anxious. I’ve realized over time how important it is for me to block off a portion of each morning, even if for 15 minutes after I check email, to do something that nourishes me internally. Sometimes I watch the sunrise, sometimes I’ll read a book or often I will close my eyes and listen to a podcast .
Carving this little bit of time makes a huge difference in my day and when I do so consistently, I notice that my thoughts are clearer and my sleep is deeper which in turn makes me feel more rested when I awaken. Watching the sunrise is a magnificent go-to no matter where I am but if the timing doesn’t work out, I’ll read or listen to one of the vast array of podcasts available on Spotify or Audible . There is no shortage of topics ranging from politics, spirituality, pop culture, art, history…you name it!
While waiting for my son to finish an exam on my last visit to Washington DC, I set my alarm to watch a glorious sunrise followed by some quiet time perusing the gorgeous hardcover edition of Peter Lindburgh Stories. It was a superb prelude to our day together.
As we stocked his fridge, shopped for our trip to Trancoso and walked around most of Georgetown, I wore my super soft Moncler sweatshirt that I purchased at Gorsuch in Aspen, my go-to Wolford white button down bodysuit and workhorse Frame white distressed denim jeans with vintage Givenchy fur lined slippers.
Im home for a few days and then off to the airport again. Sigh. What are some of your favorite podcasts? Should I record one? Let me know!
Until then, #onlyjoy to you all.
