My #NYFW Look
Certain pieces of art or clothing can evoke memories for me especially if its a piece I don’t wear or see everyday. This happens without fail whenever I don my beloved Valentino Double-Breasted Belted Fringe Hem Leather Trench Coat. The long fringe bottom that sashays as I walk makes me feel like a movie star and I am instantly transported to the scene in which Valentino makes a cameo in “The Devil Wears Prada”. Of course, this masterpiece was most likely designed by Pierpaolo Piccioli, the current Creative Director of the House of Valentino, but as I said when I featured this coat here (pre pandemic), I coo with delight whenever I place this on my shoulders!
For this NYFW look, I am wearing a Brunello Cucinelli sequined crochet dress that I have paired with a vintage Valentino inspired multicolor belt and my favorite Manolo Blahnik Oculara 90 Suede Knee-High Boots. I am carrying a Rebecca Minkoff Leo Striped Envelope Purse - Leather Clutch, gold dangling earrings and a very beloved pearl ring that belonged to my mother.
Here’s to the memories we carry in our hearts and the ones we have yet to create. Have a wonderful day!
