go go go
And so it goes….there are exactly 6 weeks left to this year and I - like so many of you - am in a mad sprint to button up all those loose ends in these last breathless moments. The tornadoes have slowed us Dallas residents down just a little, but we are a proud and resiliently pushing ahead while slowly regaining our services.
For this quick trip to my clients event, I wore a Dolce & Gabbana green silk tulle bustier dress which features a beautiful scoop neck, intricate ruching and elbow length puff sleeves. The dress comes with a detachable grosgrain and satin corset, however I thought this gorgeous thick black Alligator Belt from Tibi would be more suitable for the occasion. With that in mind, I pulled out a black Barry Kielselstein Cord top handle bag with gold alligator hardware that I purchased years and years ago but has held up wonderfully over time along with a pair of green suede Manolo Blahnik strappy heels.
I had a great time accessorizing this look with jewelry that include pieces that once belonged to my mother. My choker was previously a pendant that I had made into a necklace with some of her gold chains. The 3 opal rings also were my mother’s and they are paired with an inexpensive gold multi-ring together with a beautiful floral ring that was a wedding gift from my dear friend Cindy.
I hope you are all having a great week and are making your way through the last gasp of the year with greater ease than I am! We got this!
XO Kathleen
